Climate Summit 2024: A Collaborative Step Towards Green and Digital Transformation

The Climate Summit, hosted by TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETU) took place on May 10, 2024. The event, held in collaboration with the TOBB ETU Alumni Association, TOBB ETU Student Society, the Turkish Delegation of the European Union, and the Ankara EU Center, presented a highly productive program focusing on digital and green transformation.

The symposium featured six sessions where experts shared their insights on critical issues:

  • Global and Regional Policies on Climate Change: Prof. Dr. Gülen Güllü and Associate Professor Pınar Derin Güre provided a comprehensive overview of international and regional strategies addressing climate change.
  • Turkey’s Central and Local Government Policies on Green Transformation: Prof. Dr. Güven Sak and Prof. Dr. Esra Yüksel Acı discussed Turkey’s approach at both national and local levels.
  • Sectoral Perspective on Green Transformation: Dr. Ahmet Dinçer highlighted the industry-specific responses to green transformation.
  • Law and Compliance on the Path of Green & Digital Transformation: Atty. Begüm Yavuzdoğan Okumuş examined the legal frameworks and compliance issues related to these transformations.
  • Digital Transformation and Circular Economy: Mert Kuleoğlu, Murat Körük, and Aslı Parmak discussed the intersection of digital innovation and sustainable economic models.
  • Transforming Business Models – Green and Digital Skills: Mert Can Duman and Aykut Altıntaş highlighted the skills necessary for adapting business models to align with green and digital models.

The summit provided a platform for exchanging valuable ideas, fostering collaboration, and advancing the dialogue on essential topics at the intersection of digital and green
