Celebrating Innovation and Collaboration at the EntreComp4Transition Final Conference

After three years of collaboration, innovation, and shared learning, the EntreComp4Transition project came to a close with a dynamic final conference in Brussels. on 13 May 2025. Hosted at the Brussels Representation of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, the event brought together partners, participants, and changemakers from across Europe – both in person and online – to celebrate the project’s impact and explore what’s next for entrepreneurial competences in the green and digital transitions.

A Day of Reflection and Forward Thinking

The day kicked off with an energising opening session led by Greta Bilanzola (Eurochambres) and Seval Iskender (TOBB) that set the tone for reflection, inspiration, and future ambition. Over the course of the conference, we revisited key milestones and achievements of the EntreComp4Transition project while also looking ahead to the continued role of entrepreneurial competences in shaping a sustainable and digitally enabled future.

Exploring Policy and Practice

Our first panel session, moderated by Marianella Parra (Bantani Eductaion), delved into the policy background, validation process, and concrete recommendations that have emerged from the project. Panelists Larisa Panait (Eurochambres), Carmen Ayllón (Spanish Chamber of Commerce), and Annabelle Favreau (Junta de Extremadura) shared insights from the pilot phase and emphasised how EntreComp4Transition can contribute to policy development at regional, national and EU levels.

The second panel session turned the spotlight on the pilot experience itself. Featuring Cosetta Soragni (IFOA), Elif Tunalı Çalışkan (Ege University), Harald Hafner (ITM International College for Hospitality & Tourism Management), María Guerrero (Fun School), Nel De Landtsheer (Student) and Katrien Eggermont (GAASCH Packaging), the session showcased real stories from companies, trainers, and learners who tested and shaped the learning paths and methodologies developed during the project.

As participant Nel De Landtsheer reflected:

The pilot experience was eye-opening for me and very rewarding. I learnt to cooperate with people I didn’t know, I gained new perspectives on the world and a fresh vision of entrepreneurship. I discovered a lot about AI and its usefulness, and now I understand how to implement sustainability in a company. I also feel more confident in my problem-solving skills.

Learning by Doing: Hands-On Workshops

Workshops throughout the afternoon gave participants the opportunity to dive deeper into the EntreComp4Transition tools and methods. Participants explored how to implement learning paths in real contexts, test and recognise competences, and apply innovative approaches to support learners on their entrepreneurial journey. These hands-on sessions demonstrated the real-world potential of the project and encouraged participants to reflect on how they could use the tools in their own work.

Looking Ahead: A Lasting Legacy

As the day drew to a close, the final session offered space to reflect on all that had been shared, learned and achieved. The EntreComp4Transition final conference served not only as a celebration but also as a reminder of the ongoing importance of collaboration, innovation and lifelong learning in advancing the twin transition.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the event – and to the broader success of the project over the past three years. Whether you joined us in Brussels or participated online, your input and enthusiasm made this milestone truly memorable.
